I have been very busy with the 31 days or Prayer for our nation videos this month. As you all probably know President Trump had the cornoa but got over it very quickly. This is a great example of how this thing can be overcome. He's defeated everything the enemy has thrown at him. I'm so proud of our president. But he still needs our prayers and our votes. Voting for him is voting for good. Voting for the other side is voting for evil. The purpose of my month long prayer and inviting as many as will join me is so that God will heal our nation, keep our president in power, and turn us around back towards him so we will be great again. Things have never been this bad in the history of the world where the entire world is at stake. If you look at my older posts or you have known me in real life for a long time you know I never used to talk about these topics. There was no need for it. But now we all are definitely in a major battle and we must no longer be silent as things are not good they are going to Hell. We must NOT compromise our principles in anyway as we've allowed too much corruption and sin into our nation.

Ha, that turned out longer than I had planned but it had to be said. So what have I been up to? Lots of things actually. After painting on some bamboo poles in the bathroom I realized I'd done it backwards. You'd think that you paint the walls then paint the poles. Nope. It's easier to paint the pole color and then paint the spaces between them. SOOO after having painted the walls black and drawing the poles I now will paint the wall brown and draw the spaces instead. Sigh. Chris bought me brown paint yesterday. I also have the right brush now after talking to a pro artist that was very helpful. Just having the right brush has made a huge difference and made things easier. Being a cheapskate Mr. Krabs was making things worse for me on this project. Wish me luck I can finish this in a timely manner and at the quality of my digital art. Painting has never been my thing but I think I can do this.

I'm rooting some onions. I got the idea after seeing a video of someone growing veggies indoors and getting a head start by rooting store bought plants. Planting seeds takes a long time, seeds often won't sprout and if they do they take a long time mature to harvest. But if you root already mature plants from the grocery store you can have a mini farm in your house. Plus I'm excited to try some self watering pots made from bottles and I can make myself.

I visited Mike's mom and had a nice time. I was thrilled to find these huge hay bales when I drove up. I always see these from a distance but never been close to one. I was happy. They are about 5 feet in diameter. So almost as tall as me.

Ghooooost Liiiights. I have the house partially decorated for Halloween. I have these Ghost lights up that are so darn cute. I got these the first year they came out. They were the best and the ones that have come out since then have not been as good quality or had such a nice design.

Neat pics )

I've also been buying a lot of books and doing a lot of reading. And I've been buying some music boxes as well. I don't think anyone knows, I hadn't even told Chris in the last nearly 25 years, that I LOVE music boxes and always have. It's amazing how introvereted I keep some things even when they're just harmless things like that. I don't know why I forget or just don't share. Well I'll try to remember to make a post about the first music box I ever saw that affected me so much when I was two years old. But I just got one that plays Stars and Stripes forever and has the old art of the yankee doodles marching.

Ok I think I'll stop here as I have a lot to do today and hopefully that includes painting the bathroom again.

Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] actipton80. I'm not good at remembering birthdays but luckily I've been writing them down in my Bullet Journal over the years and starting to keep up. Hopefully my gift makes it out not too late. Today is also another monthly anniversary for Chris and I. 24.5 years together. We're almost at the big 25. Sadly our dream of going to Hawaii that I've been planning for decades now may not be happening. Stupid world. I never thought I could ever say that literally one day but the world is stupid afraid for no reason. But I've already ranted about that in a previous journal. Speaking of Bullet Journals. I'm almost done with August. So I'm catching up nicely. I only have to do the last page which has just two days in the week. You'd think that would be easy but I can't think of what to draw and how to arrange it. It better not hold off the whole month.

I'm slowly working on digital art still. It had to be put on hold because the Bullet Journal takes priority. I have ordered a premade planner so I can keep up with what I do when the Bullet Journal is not usable. I think this will be great. Chris got it for me. It's a cactus themed planner. I can't wait to get it. Should be tomorrow. So for my art I'm remaking Dawn of Fear. If you guys remember that's the one with Fear's face and Life and Death on both sides of him. But the problem was his mouth was black. It's supposed to be glowing bright green. So I have to rework all the layers unfortunately to get it to work. I'm also working on a digital sketch of RipTalon where you see his full body. It will be kind of like a ref sheet as I drew him from his left which is his good arm. You don't see much of his bad arm. So I will draw it on its own like a side note. I need to post the pic of him as the card art and also start on the next card which really should be Thag. I've been dreading and avoiding that.

I've rearranged the birds in my room. After I rearranged the birds in the living room I decided to do the same in my room but I'm not sure it's a great idea now.

These are the living room birds. I moved everyone up one floor and the first floor has the empty cage now. But this room has a very tall ceiling.

A few days ago my largest domino cactus bloomed for the first time. I was thrilled. I was told its a night blooming cactus and would open at night. So I put it in the bedroom when I thought the bud looked like it was ready. It opened the next morning. Here is a video about it.

Notice the two little buds at the time. Well those buds have grown and last night I put my cactus in my room again to wait for the blooms.

Because of this I have decided to name this cactus Rabbit Ears. I know it will never look like this again in the future. It might have more or less flowers at once but Chris and I were so amused and liked the name so much we've decided to name it Rabbit Ears regardless because of this one funny event. So this morning the flowers are JUST opening and I will try to make a video soon as it progresses.

I have gone out twice the last two nights to try and film comet Neowise. But have had no luck as this is our rainy season and there are way too many clouds. It sucks. Chris went with me last night to a lovely field near a friend's house. We saw a lovely sun set but the clouds were right where the comet should be in the low NW of the horizon. It should be visible through this month and today it is supposed to be the closest to Earth I think but it's crap weather for star gazing this time of year in FL. The guy in coco beach who uploads amazing videos has better weather. Here is a link on his tutorial on how to find it.

So the tablet I was so excited about has that lag issue you saw in the last post. I've been in contact with support. They've been great but unfortunately the bottom line is it's my photoshop's problem. I have the old CS3. They told me to get Firealpaca which is a free new art program and no lag on that. They told me CS3 isn't supported only the 2017 and up adobe programs. I don't understand why a tablet can't work with everything that's on the screen. All art programs should work because it should just be like a fancy mouse. I refuse to get the new photoshop because they've switched to a subscription basis now which means you don't know it, no physical copy and it's never paid off. I love my disk based program but I bet none of the disk based programs would work. The last one was CS6. So not sure if it's worth trying to track that down. My Tablet is the Artist XP-Pen 15.6 Pro. The other option is the wacom tablet without the screen. Basically the upgrade to my old tablet I had. They say they support the old photoshops. Good. I never thought of that because it shoudln't be an issue. But I'd be giving up the screen. I found out my Artist pro works while still shut off as though it were an old screenless tablet. Not sure if that's good or bad as off should be OFF but good that if I don't want the monitor on it still works as a tablet. I have until the 8th to figure out if I'm keeping or returning. I'll keep working on art and see if I can get used to it or not. I don't like the idea of working in two programs. Alpaca to ink and photoshop to color. Maybe I can get used to alpaca but I don't think it has all the amazing things photoshop does since it's a free program. It's too bad the cintiq tablets cost twice as much. We can't afford that. So at this point I don't know what to do.

Oh and speaking of problems. I'm having a hard time with uploading photos to LJ. Opening the photos page on firefox freezes the whole browser. I have to close it with task manager. I can open it in explorer/edge but it's a fight because it thinks I've blocked flash and I have not. It says it will not support flash after December. SO how the Hell am I supposed to upload photos? I'm sick and tired of these computer companies phasing out old stuff that works just fine. So I think I'll be in trouble come December.
