Last Day of August
Aug. 31st, 2021 11:08 amI am so ready for this month to be over. Go away August. It hasn't been a bad month. No not at all. I'm just ready for Fall. I love Fall as you guys know. And for me (I don't care what the calendar says) Sept 1st is the first day of Fall. Also August is our hottest month with no holidays. Sept doesn't have any holidays either but it's Fall and the start of cooler weather. I have been checking my local walmart often for those awesome heirloom pumpkins to come in. It's a great way to get free seeds. And they just look beautiful. I like them better than the typical orange pumpkins that were all you ever saw when I was a kid and into my 20s.
My pumpkins are growing well so far. Chris and I have started working in the yard and clearing out not just weeds but grass for the pumpkins and gourds. I'm planting them in pots but the roots can go into the soil through the holes. I'm hoping good soil at the main vine will give them a head start.
I have set up Minion and Whitey for breeding. Luckily Whitey isn't attacking Minion and hurting him like I thought she might. But Minion doesn't seem to want to mate with her. Whitey is the one putting the moves on him, but it's a Gilligan Ginger relationship where the female makes the moves (we know the men are the ones that have to put the moves on) acts all coy and then Minion purposely falls off the perch. I'm waiting on some pellets to come today through UPS. I ordered a big bag of daily mini pellets and a bag of breeder pellets. The breeder pellets don't come in small bags so Minion and Whitey get a 25lb bag all to themselves. If they do have babies then of course the babies will wean on to that, but still that's a bunch of food for just a few birds that only need it for a few months. Unless I can find a new mate for Blue Brother.
I just opened the old drawing of RipTalon. I need to finish his character sheet then start making real art with him on his plant. Can you guys help me come up with a name for a dystopian, cybernetic dinosaur planet? At least I have Planet Budgelon 5. That's just so cool ha ha.
