NOT for sale
Aug. 20th, 2020 02:54 pmI've had a very wonderful past couple of days. It's been rather Jurassic Park and Scary Fear filled. So Dennis Nedry arrived on Aug 17 2020. I ordered him on the 10th from New jersey. So seven days total with a "delay" Not bad. Then on Wednesday Aug 19, 2020 the FIRST Nedry finally arrives TWO MONTHS late. At least he wasn't stolen and I finally got him. So one to keep in the box and one to display and play with. I'm not impressed with Entertainment Earth. I can fully say Do Not order from them. I've gotten other shipments from California on time. Sometimes incredibly fast so there's no excuse for what they did and the lousy customer service in my previous entry about this. Anyway, here's my review of the first Nedry that arrived. I love it!

Now that Jeep in the video. It's the most awesome toy with only minor flaws. That being no spare tire and no sideview mirrors. They came out in 2018 and were cheap and readily available in Targets. Unfortunately now they are becoming scarce and going up in value. I have two. Managed to track down a 3rd at a decent price. I'd like to have 4 as there were 4 in the movie and had 3 unique looks. They were Vehicles 18 and 29. These were the tour vehicles and the toy is based on 18. They were the same except for the numbers. There was Jeep 10 which had no roll cage and was Muldoon's service jeep. And then there was Jeep 12 which was Nedry's Jeep. The only one with a soft top and light bar. It is probably the hardest to make because of all the accessories. So I need to track down just one more jeep without breaking the bank.
Chris and I had a great day off. We spent ALL of it playing Skyrim. We're such nerds. We spent hours just playing games and leveling Scary Fear. Chris was awesome helping me level and got me so far. At the end I wanted to do something different. We always start off going to the Mage's college because it's super easy to get accepted and get a free room with storage. But like real life it's a dorm room and you have to share it with other students and it sucks and there's not enough storage. Luckily there's the Hearthfire download that lets you buy a house called Lakeview with TONS of storage. Because we're playing with mods this time around I'm almost done building and furnishing it. What's super funny is that because Breakfast the chicken is a follower she asked me part way through the construction to be my housecarl. That's like a servant or a butler. OMG I said yes though I still need her to go into battle with me. So I can order supplies and stuff through my chicken (including pet chickens which was the first order I placed). Once all that is over I will set her back as a regular follower though. I need her blowing up enemies not cleaning my house. But watching her go in through the front door gave us flash backs of Henrietta who used to do that. Too funny. Another thing I found out that's amazing is it seems she has infinate carry capacity. Your character and your followers have a weight limit and can get over encumbered. Currently my carry capacity is 350 lbs or so. But my chicken is amazing. We loaded her down with like 40 daggers, arrows and 50 dragon bone war hammers that are super huge. No problem. OMG!! When I move out of the college I won't have to make 10 trips to move all my stuff.
It's very tempting to continue playing today as I had so much fun. As much as I want to I can't. Yesterday was a rare luxury day. So no playing until I meet a few goals everyday this week. Plus Chris needs to play on his account.
OK so the other Jeep thing was I again got another of those letters asking to buy my car. It came in the nicest envelop I'd seen. It was a little ziplock pouch. But the letter inside was so stupid and insulting that I had it. I made a video about it. Enjoy.

I had so much fun making the skit at the end. I have laughed so hard over that. Oh man I love these toys. The more I get and they more they make the more enjoyable the whole thing is becomes. I REALLY wish they'd make Donald Genaro and Mr. Arnold. I'd also love an accurate Ford Explorer the characters can ride in to go with the jeeps.
