This was a very good Christmas. I hope you all had a great one. The year is almost over too and I'm definitely ready for it to end. It's been a good year. I haven't really had a bad year in a very long time. So the big gift I got this year, so far, is a Silhouette Cameo 4. It's a cutting machine for making vinyls. I'm hoping to make car decals and hopefully sell some of my own art. Very exciting some of the stuff I might be able to make with it. I also pooled all my amazon cards and got myself a new grill for the jeep. It's also an angry grill, but this one is more aggressive than my other one. I will be making an all new blue mesh for it as well to protect my radiator from bugs. My Christmas cards are now New Years cards because I had to put them off for one reason or another. Well there's one day left in the year. I'll see if I can get them out or the majority out tomorrow.
Wingo's feathers are growing in, but I got really worried that a few days ago he bit his tumor and was bleeding. He's been chewing on and now has two new bumps. They are small but still, I was satisfied with it being benign but if he keeps this up it will want to heal and cancer is all about making too many new cells. I may have to stick him in a cone of shame. But so far it's ok. I bought a supplement called Feather fast. It has very good reviews. I have started to feed this with wet veggies. Wingo is my only bird that likes carrots. In fact his pale beak has turned orange. Looks like he's wearing lip stick. Orbitz is good too. She's spooky though and hasn't learned to step up in the cage. She gets scared in her cage of my hand unless I have a millet in it. Sigh, birds are all weird.
My frogs are all doing great. I officially have a male Santa Isabel Frog. He has a lovely song. So I might have a male and female since one is big and one is little. I don't know about the mint frogs yet. I hope they're not all females. I have been working on their new tank. I'm finally making progress on that. I've been carving and painting rock ledges and holders for plants. Hopefully it will be ready in a few more days. I'm literally waiting for paint to dry. Each coat takes about 24 hours so it's a slow process. And then gluing them with silicone takes 24 hours too per piece. Next time I order frogs I will save up for froglets. It's more expensive but no heart break and high loss at the tadpole to frog transition stage.
I finished my Bible reading early this year. I've been reading random chapters til the end of the year. So I will start counting again offically on Jan 1st. This time I will take my time. I didn't like reading in a year because 4 chapters a day is too fast. I don't get as much out of it and I forget things. My normal speed is 2 chapters a day which equals about a Bible in 2 years. I found a very nice print out that I can check of chapters individually instead of groups of chapters which caused me to lose my place. I can now say I've ready the Bible in a year though. Won't be doing that again.
And I'm very excited to start saving up for my new dog in the new year. I'm so ready for that. Though, I'm not going to like the puppy years. I don't like puppies but it will be worth it. So two years of annoyance and I should have an adult dog in 2024. Her name will be Olive. She'll be a black Olive ha hah.
